Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Orlando, FL is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to maintain our fleet at client locations and respond to service calls. You will perform cleaning, inspection, parts removal/replacement, and installation with manuals.

You will use diagnostic equipment, document work, manage service truck inventory, and coordinate with the Service Manager. After-hours availability and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 7 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician.
• Current CDL and Medical card required.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
• Valid driver license with insurability per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Read job orders, observe vehicles, and plan work procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform correct repairs.
• Perform diagnostics and replacement of components as needed.
• Document and submit paperwork accurately in the mobile service system.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
• Advise customers on repairs to be performed within 3 months.
• Participate in training and apply it to work.
