Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an experienced technician to service a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks across multiple brands. You will perform standard and complex mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics with minimal supervision to keep trucks safe and on the road.

This on-site role may require CDL depending on location, ASE certifications, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Some travel for mobile repairs is possible; benefits include paid time off and insurance options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium/heavy-duty equipment.
• ASE certifications required or in progress; ability to obtain additional ASE certs within 1 year.
• Valid Driver's License and potential CDL depending on location, DOT medical clearance as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a shop with moderate noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/fluids, tire, brake, suspension, electrical diagnostics, and warranty-related repairs.
• Mobile repair duties; travel to customer locations to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Drive Budget Trucks on public roads as needed to support repair or transport.
