Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is seeking experienced diesel and trailer technicians to perform on-site maintenance and repairs at customer locations in San Diego. You will handle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs for Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.

Strong communication, reliable computer use for work orders, and the ability to work extended hours are required. Tools are provided, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years diesel and trailer repair experience.
• Communication skills required.
• Ability to work extended hours including weekends/holidays when needed.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills.
• 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
• 3 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must possess proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
