Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in San Diego is seeking experienced diesel and trailer technicians to join our on-site maintenance team, delivering repairs at customers’ locations and on their schedule.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and handle DOT-related paperwork, with a focus on quality repairs and reliable fleet service. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to work extended hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with good organization and planning.
• Experience with electronic work orders on a tablet/computer.
• 2 years of federal and brake inspections experience.
• 3 years in truck/trailer maintenance or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Own the proper tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures including DOT inspections.
• Repair/replace vehicle and trailer components.
• Open and close repair orders on company devices.
• Obtain parts and manage service-truck inventory.
• Complete DOT forms and related documentation promptly.
