Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services in Sacramento, CA is seeking experienced diesel and trailer technicians to join our on-site maintenance network. You will perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, with DOT inspections and parts management.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel/trailer repair experience, holds a valid driver's license, can work extended hours, and can use a tablet for work orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
• Communication skills required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires.
• Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
