Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Mobile Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and machinery across multiple Maryland sites. You will troubleshoot complex systems and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Diesel Mechanics Technology background.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on diesel/heavy equipment experience.
• Travel to multiple Maryland sites; field-based role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel systems, hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools; attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, and rotary components.
• Carry out routine maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
• Calibrate engine controls and emission devices to standards.
• Develop repair plans with supervision and estimate costs.
• Maintain service records and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Follow Amrize health, safety and PPE policies.
