Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, seeks a Mobile Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and equipment in the Ready Mix product line. You will troubleshoot issues, perform routine servicing, and work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and keep operations running.

The role demands hands-on expertise with diesel engines and hydraulic/electrical systems, travel across Maryland, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Diesel Mechanics Technology preferred.
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment.
Field-based role requiring travel to multiple sites throughout Maryland.
Strong knowledge of diesel systems (engines, hydraulics, electrical, fuel).
Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair software.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
Repair and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, and rotary components using specialized tools.
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance for fleet reliability and safety.
Calibrate engine controls and emission devices to meet standards.
Develop repair plans with maintenance supervisors and estimate costs.
