Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, seeks a Mobile Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles and machinery across Maryland sites. You will perform advanced diagnostics, rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and safety-compliant repairs with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring uptime.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Field of Study Preferred: Diesel Mechanics Technology (Preferred).
• Required Work Experience: 2+ years diagnosing, repairing, maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Travel: Field-based role requiring travel to multiple sites throughout Maryland.
• Strong knowledge of diesel systems: engines, hydraulics, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot engine or system issues using diagnostic tools.
• Certifications such as ASE Diesel Certification or OEM training are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and rebuild diesel engines, transmissions, and rotary components using specialized tools.
• Execute routine and preventive maintenance for fleet reliability and safety.
• Calibrate and adjust engine controls, fuel systems, and emission devices to standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisors to plan repairs and estimate costs.
