Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II. The technician will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and other duties, with opportunities to learn advanced mechanical skills and diagnostics. Work is frequently audited for quality, and high performance metrics are expected.

DUTIES:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck components such as electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck.
• Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Communicate effectively with clients to assess needs and resolve issues.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Use hand tools, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks.
• Document work performed and parts used using company devices and applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED; up to 2 years’ related experience.
• Own a set of necessary hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• Pass DOT pre-employment background screening and physical; valid DOT medical card or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate regulations.
• Valid driver’s license; clean 3-year MVR review.
