Job Title: Mobile Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
- Handle basic maintenance of trucks, including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and documentation of inspections.
- Manage inventory control for the service truck and ensure proper stocking of supplies.
- Report to the Service Manager and complete assigned duties daily.
- Be available for after-hours service calls and maintain an open work schedule.
- Maintain and inventory tools required for maintaining diesel engine trucks and equipment.
- Read job orders, observe vehicle operation, and determine malfunctions to plan work procedures.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform repairs.
- Perform diagnosis, removal, and replacement of parts such as injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, and more.
- Document diagnostic and repair activities accurately in the company system.
- Inspect safety devices and make necessary adjustments.
- Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs meet specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
- Complete paperwork and update mobile service records promptly.
- Respond to customer inquiries, fostering positive relations.
- Advise customers or service writers on future repairs or services.
- Participate in training and apply learned skills in work tasks.

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
- Valid CDL and Medical card as per FMVSS requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills are essential.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets insurance guidelines.
