Job summary

W.W. Williams in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to perform on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks at customer locations.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of diesel repair experience, ASE certifications, a valid CDL or ability to obtain, and proficiency with diagnostic software. This role requires strong communication, independence, and adherence to DOT standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel repair experience required.
• ASE Certifications: T4, T7, T8 required/preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT Medical Card.
• Familiar with repair planning and parts reuse.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting across brakes, emissions, electrical, HVAC.
• Proficient with diagnostic software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks at customer sites per manufacturer specs.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify worn or damaged components.
• Create repair plans with estimated labor hours and parts.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, A/C, emissions, and other components.
• Complete PM services, DOT inspections, and accurate documentation.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and proper tool inventory.
