Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to perform on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks at customer locations. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to DOT standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of diesel repair experience, ASE T4/T7/T8, and MACS 609 or equivalent mobile A/C certs; valid license and DOT medical card needed. On‑site work supports a professional team in a dynamic field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years diesel repair experience; 5–7 years preferred in fleet, dealership, or mobile tech settings.
• Certificate from a technical school or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain.
• ASE Certifications: T4, T7, T8 and MACS 609 or equivalent mobile A/C certification.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across brake, emissions, electrical, HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks per specifications.
• Conduct inspections and create repair plans with labor estimates and parts required.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, A/C, emissions controls, and other diesel components.
• Complete PM services, DOT inspections, and accurate documentation.
• Use diagnostic software and follow electronic repair procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas on site and in company vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records for invoicing and warranties and train junior techs.
