Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to perform on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks at customer locations.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions. The technician will ensure DOT compliance, complete PM services, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel repair experience; 5–7 years preferred in fleet or mobile settings.
• Certificate from a technical school or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
• ASE T4, T7, T8 certifications; MACS 609 or equivalent A/C certification.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting across brakes, emissions, electrical, HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect vehicles and create repair plans with estimated labor and parts.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, A/C, emissions, and other components.
• Complete PM services, DOT inspections, and maintain records for invoicing.
• Utilize diagnostic software and follow repair procedures; maintain a clean area.
• Support and train junior technicians; adhere to safety and EPA policies.
