Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks at customer locations across the West Columbia area.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and high‑quality workmanship. You will diagnose complex systems, create repair plans, and document work for invoicing and warranty claims while adhering to DOT standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel repair experience.
• Certificate from a technical school or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
• ASE Certifications: T4 (Brakes), T7 (HVAC), T8 (PM).
• MACS 609 or equivalent mobile A/C certification.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across brake, emissions, electrical, HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy‑duty trucks at customer locations.
• Inspect vehicles and create job repair plans with labor hours and parts.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, A/C, emissions, and other components.
• Complete PM services and DOT inspections with accurate documentation.
• Use diagnostic software and follow repair procedures; maintain records for invoicing and warranty claims.
