Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a Road Service Technician to travel to job sites and plants to keep our fleet running at peak performance. This is a mobile role with hands-on diesel, hydraulic, and electrical repairs, plus strong customer service and safety adherence.

You will diagnose and fix field issues, rebuild components on-site as needed, and coordinate with dispatch while documenting all work. A CDL and willingness to travel daily are required, with a solid mechanical background helping you excel

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; diesel repair certification is a plus.
Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems is essential.
Strong communication and ability to work independently in remote locations.

Responsibilities

Travel to job sites and plant locations to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field using portable diagnostic tools and your technical expertise.
Rebuild, replace, or repair major components of diesel engines on-site as needed.
Coordinate service calls with dispatch, operations, and plant teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Maintain a well-organized service vehicle stocked with necessary tools, parts, and safety equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety policies while working independently at remote locations.
Accurately document all maintenance and repair work in the field.
Stay current on diesel engine technology and industry best practices.
