Job summary

Rural King is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Equipment Technician to provide on-site service across the assigned territory in a company-provided service truck.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment, lawn tractors, zero-turn mowers, outdoor power equipment, and small engines at customer homes, farms, businesses, and dealer locations, while delivering outstanding customer service and working independently.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered equipment.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Proven capability to communicate repair recommendations to customers.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 pounds and operate a service vehicle daily.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout assigned territory in a company-provided service truck.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and warranty repairs.
• Repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, steering, drivetrain, and mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic software, scan tools, multimeters, service manuals, and schematics to identify equipment failures.
• Complete electronic work orders, warranty documentation, and parts ordering.
• Maintain service truck inventory and safely transport customer equipment.
• Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance tips with customers.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical training.
