Job summary

Rural King is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Equipment Technician to provide on-site service across your assigned territory. Using a company-provided service truck, you'll diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment at customer homes, farms, businesses, and dealer locations.

The role requires independent problem solving and a customer-focused approach, with training and tools supplied.

Qualifications

Lift, push, and pull up to 65 pounds.
Operate a company service vehicle daily.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Travel throughout your assigned territory in a company-provided service truck.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and warranty repairs.
Repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, steering, drivetrain, and mechanical systems.
Use diagnostic software, scan tools, multimeters, service manuals, and schematics to identify equipment failures.
Complete electronic work orders, warranty documentation, and parts ordering.
Maintain service truck inventory and safely transport customer equipment.
Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance tips with customers.
Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical training.
