Job summary

Rural King is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Equipment Technician to provide on-site service across the territory. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel equipment at customer homes, farms, and dealer locations using a company-provided service truck.

The role involves traveling within the territory, performing preventative maintenance, and communicating repair recommendations to customers. You will work independently with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing or repairing compact tractors and farm equipment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 65 pounds.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to service customers.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout your assigned territory in a company-provided service truck.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and warranty repairs.
• Repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, steering, drivetrain, and mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic software, scan tools, multimeters, service manuals, and schematics to identify equipment failures.
• Complete electronic work orders, warranty documentation, and parts ordering.
• Maintain service truck inventory and safely transport customer equipment.
• Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance tips with customers.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical training.
