Job summary

Asurion in Nashville, TN seeks a Product Engineer Principal Technician to support the Tech Services & Support team. The role focuses on disassembly/reassembly, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of mobile devices and consumer electronics, plus training and maintenance of fixtures.

You'll work with engineers to improve test processes, review reports, mentor technicians, and help resolve localized system issues, with experience in iOS/Android and various OEM devices.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical or associate degree in electrical/mechanical tech or 6+ years experience.
• Experience in mobile device troubleshooting and testing.
• Ability to train and mentor technicians and document test results.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble fixtures and components.
• Train team members on proper techniques.
• Review reports and provide feedback to technicians.
• Maintain training materials and documentation.
• Approve and maintain UAT results and test inventory.
• Collaborate with Engineers to develop new test processes.
• Support updates, features, and systems integration.
• Assist Help Desk with localization system issues and resolutions.
• Document root cause analyses and recommend solutions.
