Job summary

Pacific Dental Services, LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience at our Turlock, CA offices. You will assist with patient care, sterilization, radiographs, and treatment prep in a fast-paced team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and state-required certifications, plus reliable transportation for travel between offices.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and state-mandated training courses for certification/licensure.
• State licensing/certification as mandated by the applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; travel to multiple offices. Evidence of reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per the applicable state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians to deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE).
• Escort patients to the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Coordinate with front and back office to ensure schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and environment.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per infection control guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral photographs as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory.
• Keep patients’ mouths dry and clear using suction devices.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records and health histories to clinician prior to treatment.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
• Work with Lead Dental Assistant to ensure supplies are available.
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
• Demonstrate adherence to company policies and PDS Brand guidelines.
