Job summary

360care is seeking a Dental Assistant to support physicians in long-term care facilities, maintaining clinical records, updating odontograms, and assisting with dental procedures. The role requires travel within a 2.5-hour radius and interaction with patients, families, and staff.

The position emphasizes HIPAA compliance, equipment maintenance, and efficient patient flow across facilities to optimize scheduling and reporting.

Qualifications

Must be able to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong knowledge of medical and dental terminology.
Must be able to follow directions and listen to patients and doctors.
Must have good computer skills and experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Assist doctor with patient care in a prompt and courteous manner.
Maintain and verify clinical records and charts through EMR.
Update patient odontogram for every patient encounter.
Assist with instrument passage and preparation for dental procedures.
Maintain treatment area and equipment, including cleaning and maintenance.
Manage dental supplies and inventory; schedule maintenance for equipment.
Explain and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Maintain daily production reports and assist with scheduling and reporting.
Travel up to 100% of the time within a 2.5 hour radius and support multiple facilities.
