Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience preferred.
• ARRT Radiography and CT certifications required per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers before exams; obtain clinical history.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions and anxieties.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as needed.
• Review images for diagnostic quality; perform repeats when necessary.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers and retrievals.
