Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRTR (Radiography) certification.
• ARRTCT – ARRT Computed Tomography certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and use two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and address questions to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using proper venipuncture techniques.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and retake if needed.
• Document timely in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, restock equipment.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
• Support operations, keep areas clean and stocked, follow regulatory requirements.

Education
