Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist in Georgia to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic CT procedures, including body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities. You will obtain patient histories, verify orders, position patients, select scanning factors, and maintain radiation safety.

You will assist with contrast administration and post-process images for accurate labeling and billing. The role requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT and RT registrations,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures (head, body, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities).
• Obtains medical history and verifies orders for exam accuracy.
• Positions patient and adjusts scanning factors to obtain high-quality images with radiation safety.
• Assists radiologist with contrast administration and image interpretation support.
• Post-processes images and properly labels for patient records and billing.
