Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a Mobile Crisis Specialist to join the Crisis Services team. You will respond to on-call mobile crisis requests, perform risk assessments, and coordinate care with hospitals and community resources.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, safety planning, and timely documentation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or 5 years of supervised clinical mental health experience; CPR/First Aid and CPI

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent clinical experience in mental health or human services.
• Experience assessing and intervening in mental health crises and suicidality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate crisis intervention in community or via telehealth/phone.
• Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments and develop safety plans.
• Coordinate hospitalizations or referrals to community resources as needed.
• Maintain timely documentation in electronic medical records for compliance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and internal/external partners as required.
