Job summary

Burrell Center Inc in Springfield, MO seeks a Mobile Crisis Specialist to provide on-call mobile crisis services, conduct crisis assessments, and coordinate access to resources. You will work with the Crisis and Access Services team to support individuals in crisis and ensure appropriate referrals and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a behavioral health or related field with practicum completed, or one year of behavioral health experience.
• Experience in assessing, triaging, and treating suicidality and crisis situations.
• Proven oral and written communication skills; strong problem-solving and clinical judgment.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships via telephone and in person.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call/mobile coverage and support to team members during crises.
• Conduct telephone or face-to-face crisis assessments and triage needs.
• Coordinate access to crisis services and hospitalization when needed.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and EMS to assist individuals and families.
• Maintain timely documentation for DMH, BBH, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in calls, trainings, and supervision as scheduled.
