Bowen Health in Indiana is seeking a Mobile Crisis Specialist to join a mobile crisis team. You will provide immediate crisis intervention, assess safety, and coordinate care with partners to de-escalate and stabilize patients.
This role requires an Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours, CPI/BLS/First Aid certifications after hire, a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and passing background checks.
The Mobile Crisis Specialist will provide direct support to individuals in crisis through a mobile crisis team (MCT). This position is a behavioral health practitioner who participates in a clinical assessment of the needs of the individual in crisis. Dispatched from a number of settings, such as 988 Lifeline centers, and/or public or private behavioral health service organizations, the Mobile Crisis Specialist will focus on crisis intervention to provide immediate care, decrease emotional distress and reduce the risk of danger and harm to people who are experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Partnered with a Peer Support Specialist to promote engagement, coaching, and navigation, the Mobile Crisis Specialist will collaborate with the patient to ensure the appropriate level of care is coordinated and/or crisis is de-escalated and stabilized.
