Job summary

Prestera Health Services is seeking a Mobile Crisis Worker to provide face-to-face and phone crisis support in the member's natural environment, including crisis line, walk-ins, and scheduled visits.

The role emphasizes rapid screening, stabilization, collaboration with community resources, and adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality policies; requires Bachelor's in Human Services and at least one year in mental health or substance use settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field required.
• At least one year of experience with mental health and substance use populations.
• Must attain and maintain certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention and CPR/First Aid during employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with effective time management.

Responsibilities

• Engages and communicates effectively with individuals and families, physicians, law enforcement, and internal staff.
• Provides crisis support face-to-face and by phone in the member’s environment, crisis line, walk-ins, or scheduled visits.
• Performs crisis screening/assessment and develops crisis safety plans as clinically indicated.
• Refers individuals to additional services based on consumer needs and completes shift handoffs and documentation.
