Job summary

Elevate is seeking Mobile Response Team members in Iowa to respond to mental health crises in the community. You will be on call at all times, often paired with a co-worker or law enforcement, and respond to calls during scheduled shifts.

Shifts run 7:00am–7:00pm with 20–29 hours weekly. Responsibilities include timely data entry, coordinating arrival with a partner, and building working relationships with mental health professionals, case managers, law enforcement, school staff and hospital

Qualifications

• Mental health professional per Iowa Code 228.1
• Bachelor's degree with 30 credits in a human services field and 1 year behavioral health experience
• Law enforcement officer with 2 years experience
• EMT with 2 years experience
• Peer support specialist with 1 year experience
• Family support peer specialist with 1 year experience
• RN with 1 year behavioral health experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services field with 2 years and 30 hours crisis training

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health crises in the community in pairs or with law enforcement.
• Complete related data entry and paperwork and notify Elevate after call.
• Arrive within one hour of being called and coordinate arrival with co-worker.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mental health practitioners, case managers, law enforcement, school personnel, hospital personnel, and other interested parties.
