Job summary

Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Office of Mental Health in Lancaster, SC seeks a Mental Health Professional I to join the Mobile Crisis team. You will perform triage, crisis intervention, assessments, and therapy for adults, children, and adolescents at CCMHC and via mobile crisis services.

You will collaborate with clinic directors, participate in weekly treatment teams, pursue ongoing education, and ensure coverage for after-hours shifts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in guidance, counseling, or the social sciences.
• Evidence of clinical experience providing direct patient care (practicum/internship or post-graduate).
• Ability to lift 5 lbs.
• Licensed or eligible for full licensure within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, crisis intervention, assessment and therapy services at Lancaster Clinic intake/triage team.
• Conduct emergency assessments of clients in crisis.
• Arrive on-site within 60 minutes of call; determine level of care and disposition for Mobile Crisis.
• Educate patients on community resources and coordinate immediate disposition.
• Provide crisis intervention, brief therapy, and safety planning; document call logs for reports.
