Job summary

Canvas Health seeks a Mobile Crisis Mental Health Peer Specialist to support adults in crisis by sharing lived experience to help clients identify strengths and access community resources. This is a part-time, onsite role based in Chaska, MN.

The position requires Minnesota certification or equivalent and a valid driver's license for required travel. The role offers flexibility and access to benefits and employee programs.

Salary

• Level I Base Salary: $17.91 - $20.74/hourly
• Level II Base Salary also meets criteria for a Mental Health Practitioner: $26.23 - $30.37/hourly

Position Summary

This position provides Peer support services within the Mental Health Crisis Services to adult clients; offering support and hope to individuals with mental illness by sharing their story and helping them to discover their strengths. Certified peer specialists assist the people they serve by helping break down barriers to community resources and provide encouragement for involvement in community activities that support their goals and interests. This non-clinical position may also deal with supporting crisis calls and providing in-home peer support.

Daytime, Monday – Friday Part-time, 20 hours per week

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma/GED or higher.
• Certification as a Mental Health Peer Specialist in the state of Minnesota or by Recovery Innovations.
• This position requires the use of a personal automobile for transportation for business-related travel. Must have the ability to maintain clean driving records, a current driver's license, and auto insurance coverage that meets the requirements set forth by Canvas Health insurance policy limits.
