Job summary

The Consortium Inc. is seeking a Mobile Crisis Intervention Counselor to provide hands-on crisis support in the Philadelphia area. The role is part-time union and requires dependable, adaptable individuals aiming for long-term careers within the organization.

Responsibilities include phone and in-person crisis intervention, rapid assessment, documentation, and linking clients to community resources. Evening/ weekend shifts may be required, with a focus on respectful client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with at least one year of clinical experience.
• Must demonstrate competence in assertive/aggression management.
• Must enjoy seeing clients in the community.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate access to crisis support through phone counseling and mobile in-person crisis intervention.
• Provide rapid assessment, 302 & 201 hospitalization when necessary, and linkage to community resources.
• Document intake notes, progress notes, medical charts, discharge plans, and assessments.
• Develop and write action plans with measurable outcomes.
• Participate in outreach to high-use crisis services.
• Coordinate services including referrals to inpatient settings and emergency examinations.
• Interface with families and other stakeholders; communicate with health professionals.
• Intervene in crisis situations and attend staff meetings and trainings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in human services

One year of clinical experience in mental health

Assertive/aggression management

Current, valid driver’s license in the state of residence
