Job summary

Healthcare in Action partners with the Garden Grove community to deliver mobile crisis response services and street medicine to people experiencing homelessness. The EMT/Clinical Support Partner operates the response vehicle, conducts basic medical assessments, and assists in connecting individuals to medical and behavioral health resources.

This role emphasizes de-escalation, safety, and collaboration with law enforcement and social services in a field-based setting within Garden Grove.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current California EMT certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Valid California Driver's License required.
• 2+ years EMT or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the response vehicle, ensuring readiness for each shift.
• Maintain communication with GGPD and coordinate scene logistics.
• Perform basic medical assessment and determine need for higher-level care.
• Support de-escalation and triage alongside the clinician partner.
• Assist with transportation arrangements and connecting individuals to services.
