Healthcare in Action is seeking an EMT to join the Garden Grove Mobile Crisis Response Team. You will operate the response vehicle, perform basic medical assessments, support de-escalation, and coordinate with GGPD to respond safely to crisis calls.

This patient‑facing role requires a CA EMT certification, BLS/CPR, a valid CA driver’s license, and 2+ years of EMT/EMS experience. You will work primarily in the field in Garden Grove and help connect individuals to medical, behavioral health, and

Qualifications

• CA EMT certification required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years EMT/EMS experience.
• Crisis response or field-based work with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the response vehicle.
• Maintain communication with GGPD and coordinate responses.
• Perform basic medical assessment and determine need for higher care.
• Support de-escalation and triage with clinician partner.
• Assist with transport arrangements and documentation.
• Protect confidential information and PHI.
