Job summary

Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Crisis Counselor to provide clinical assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention during mobile crisis encounters. The role leads the clinical decision-making on scene and collaborates with peer staff for a recovery‑oriented response.

You will engage in safety planning, level of care determinations, and warm handoffs with treatment providers, hospitals, and community partners as part of a holistic crisis response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, psychology, or related human service field.
• Two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting if holding another bachelor’s degree.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling preferred.
• CRSS certification through IAODAPCA is beneficial.
• Experience in crisis intervention and community mental health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, de-escalation, and crisis intervention on mobile crisis encounters.
• Lead clinical component and be the decision-maker on scene.
• Coordinate care with peers, emergency services, and community providers.
• Ensure documentation, compliance, and licensure requirements are met.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and team debriefings.
