Job summary

Milwaukee County is seeking a Behavioral Health Emergency Service Clinician for the Crisis Consultation Program. The role involves field-based crisis assessment and intervention, collaboration with DHS 34 providers, and development of crisis plans with clients and supports. On-site supervision is provided.

The position offers an hourly wage and a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least 3 years of crisis experience, and Wisconsin licensure.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related Human Services field.
• At least three (3) years of crisis experience.
• Wisconsin professional licensure without restrictions (LCSW, APSW, LPC, LPC-IT, LMFT, or LMFT-IT).
• Willing to drive ~50% of the time in this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric and psychosocial assessments; evaluate danger to self/others.
• Intervene in acute crisis, de-escalate and link to services.
• Reduce danger via therapeutic interventions and community connections.
• Implement care plans with crisis plans and follow-up.
