Job summary

Rosecrance Ware Center – Rockford, IL is seeking an MH Clinician for Mobile Crisis Response (3rd shift) to deliver mental health rehabilitation services to clients and families, reduce crisis episodes, and improve community functioning. The role requires working within a safe, ethical environment and collaborating with the Clinical Team.

The position offers a sign-on bonus ($3,000 non-licensed, $4,000 licensed masters) and additional shift pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Addiction Studies or related field or equivalent experience
• Must qualify as a MHP or QMHP per Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Computer proficiency required
• Navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record
• Complete required documentation within prescribed time frames
• Skilled in individual, family and group counseling
• Present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to work within a team
• Valid driver’s license and meet agency insurance requirements
• Must have own transportation and travel within the community to engage with clients
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities

• Work hours prescribed by the role and additional hours as needed
• Motivate and problem-solve with staff regarding clinical practices
• Be self-motivated and seek improved performance for complex client needs
• Adapt communication to client and family language/style
• Complete necessary documentation within timelines
• Undertake primary case management for designated clients
• Conduct individual, group, and family counseling and education sessions
• Ensure client service records comply with rules and regulations
• Maintain communications with admissions, processing and discharge teams
• Coordinate services from community resources
• Use diverse treatment concepts and evidence-based practices
• Present workshops, lectures and training to clients, families, staff and community groups
• Be familiar with court proceedings and appear as needed for Rosecrance clients
• Participate in on-call rotation and team meetings
• Maintain confidentiality per ethics and law
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Be a role model in guest relations
• Assume other related responsibilities as delegated
