Job summary

CraneWorks in Houston, TX is seeking a Shop Crane Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile cranes at the shop or on site. The role reports to the Service Manager and requires strong electrical/hydraulic skills and a focus on safety and quality.

Candidates should have 3+ years of crane tech experience, be able to read manuals and drawings, and be willing to travel for field work. Overtime and weekend work are common; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

3+ years of Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician experience diagnosing defects.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Willingness to travel for field work and work overtime including weekends.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain crane equipment in shop and field settings.
Test repaired equipment to ensure OEM specifications and safe operation.
Maintain accurate work orders, time sheets, and expense reports.
Demonstrate customer service and communication skills during service encounters.
Work 40–80 hours weekly depending on needs; travel 1–4 days as required.
