Job summary

CraneWorks in Houston, TX is seeking a Shop Crane Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes. Mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulics is preferred, along with the ability to read manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities include parts checks, safety compliance, and producing reports. Occasional travel for field assignments may be required; typical workweeks range from 40 to 80 hours depending on demand, with overtime and weekends as

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
• Ability to operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Ability to read operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and OEM compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure proper operation and OEM specifications.
• Fill out working reports, hour reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Travel periodically for 1 to 4 day intervals for field techs; shop 40–50 hours, field 40–80 hours weekly.
