Job summary

CraneWorks is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain crane equipment at customer sites in Syracuse or Cortland, NY. The role requires mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulic systems and periodic travel.

The field technician will operate safely, read manuals and blueprints, complete reports, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting growth of our service network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
• Ability to diagnose defects and inspect cranes.
• Familiar with CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON and Greer systems.
• Reads manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Excellent safety, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic systems after repair.
• Prepare parts, drawings, and paperwork accurately.
• Operate cranes and inspect for defects, following OEM specs.
• Travel to customer sites; communicate with customers and service manager.
• Maintain safety and comply with company procedures; complete reports and time sheets.
