Job summary

B in Wichita is seeking a Commercial Concrete Finisher to read drawings, set forms, and assist with pouring and finishing concrete on foundations, walls, decks, and parking structures. You will work with symon forms and other form systems, ensuring correct elevations and locations are achieved.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or contracting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and prints.
• Build and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, etc.
• Set forms to proper elevations and may aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using various forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using plumb bob, level, laser or transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for access above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman or Project Manager about problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is kept in safe working condition.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
