Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to prep, pour, place, and finish concrete structures. This role involves erecting and setting forms for foundations, buildings, and site work per specifications.

You will read and interpret blueprints, build forms from wood or metal, set elevations, and assist with reinforcing placements while adhering to safety and quality standards. Strong collaboration with foremen is essential.

Qualifications

Ability to read and understand drawings and prints.
Experience building forms for concrete floors, walls, columns, tilt-walls, and other cast-in-place structures.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to site policies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Read and understand drawings and prints.
Build/assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures.
Set forms to elevations and placements; assist with reinforcing steel.
Set and erect forms using various materials and forming systems.
Verify accuracy of structures using levels, plumbs, laser, or transit.
Erect scaffolding and ladders; maintain safe working conditions.
Communicate with Foreman/Project Manager about issues, materials, or safety hazards.
Assist with placing concrete as needed; observe safety guidelines.
