Job summary

AB Facility Services is looking for a Route Maintenance/Handyman Tech to join our mobile facilities engineering team for our client account based in Kenilworth, NJ. While you will start each day in Morristown, you will be working throughout the state of NJ alongside an experienced route mechanic in one of our vans.

This role involves hands-on preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and coordinating with clients to minimize downtime and ensure smooth facility operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial maintenance experience.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Experience working from a service vehicle preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the route mechanic with engineering operations.
• Assist preventive maintenance and repairs of buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
• Monitor building system operations under route mechanic supervision.
• Apply carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC skills.
• Support properties statewide, from small suites to multi-story offices.
