Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks skilled HVAC Servicemen to support healthcare, manufacturing, higher education, K12, and commercial real estate customers in a field-based role.

You will commission, service, and maintain advanced commercial HVAC equipment, assess service needs, and recommend solutions to improve building performance and reliability. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of practical working experience in residential, light commercial, or commercial mechanical equipment.
• Two (2) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify your skills and knowledge, if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot three-phase commercial HVAC equipment, RTUs, heat pumps, fans, and related mechanical systems.
• Assist Journeymen with the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw, and scroll chillers.
• Recommend solutions that improve comfort, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Prepare labor and material quotes to support recommended service work and customer decisions.
• Support rotating weekend, night, and holiday on-call service coverage.
• Represent Johnson Controls professionally as a trusted advisor at the customer site.
