Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center in Virginia is seeking a Community Health Educator to join a mobile team delivering cancer education, screening outreach and navigation services in Williamsburg and Gloucester. You will organize events, provide Massey education materials, and help community members access screening and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health or STEM or equivalent.
• 2+ years in community health, promotion or navigation.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Familiarity with Williamsburg and/or Gloucester neighborhoods.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Comfort with social media platforms.

Responsabilités

• Lead a mobile team to promote cancer awareness and screening.
• Represent Massey at community events in Williamsburg/Gloucester.
• Educate on cancer risk reduction, screening and early detection.
• Assist with eligibility and access to screening, diagnosis and treatment.
• Connect residents to local clinics and social support services.
• Document encounters in Massey data systems with confidentiality.
