Job summary

Davey Coach Sales, a national leader in van and bus sales, seeks a Mobile Bus Technician for our Sedalia, CO office. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and help ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles while upholding safety and quality standards.

You'll inspect and test repairs to manufacturers’ specs, communicate with the dispatcher, and support other technicians on complex repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; auto mechanic vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years of automotive mechanical/electrical diagnosis and repair experience desired.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Must own a broad range of tools to perform most jobs.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and use manufacturers’ service manuals.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair or service needs and parts replacement.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and assist with DOT inspections as needed.
• Maintain shop vehicles; assist other technicians with difficult repairs.
• Accurately estimate repair, maintenance, and service costs.
• Perform brake, hydraulic, exhaust, engine/transmission, electrical, suspension, and other system repairs.
• Test repairs to meet manufacturers’ specifications and road test as required.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher to manage appointment requests.
• Coordinate with production team to keep vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.

Davey Coach Sales is the nation-wide leader in van and bus sales. We have an immediate opening for a MobileBus Technicianin our ever growing office in Sedalia, CO. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing the mechanical and electrical damage of vehicles while ensuring safety and quality to ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles. Additional responsibilities include performing light-heavy maintenance and service work.

Your responsibilities wouldInclude but are not limited to:

• Analyze, diagnose, and evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair or service needs and potential replacement of parts.
• Identify any opportunity to upsell to the customer; addressing DOT inspections where necessary.
• Responsible for the maintenance of shop vehicles.
• Responsible for assisting other Technicians on the diagnosis of difficult or abnormal repairs or services.
• Accurately estimate costs for repairs, maintenance and service required.
• Perform advanced, basic and minor repairs as required – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, engine and transmission, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, restraints and airbags, wheelchair lifts, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Inspects and tests all mechanical repairs to meet manufacturers’ specifications. Road test vehicles when required.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure all requests for appointments are handled.
• Communicate with production team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.

You will need to have:

• High School diploma/GED required. Auto mechanic vocational graduate preferred.
• 2+ years of automobile or automotive mechanical/electrical diagnosis, problem solving and repair experience in related industry preferred.
• ASE certification
• Must have a large selection of tools to do most jobs.
• Experience diagnosing problems – mechanical, repairing, rebuilding and overhauling mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or hydraulic systems in a wide variety of automotive vehicles.
• Knowledge using manufacturers’ service and repair manuals.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments.

Pay: $34.00 - $55.00 per hour
