Job summary

Davey Coach Sales, a national leader in van and bus sales, seeks a Mobile Bus Technician in Sedalia, CO. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, maintain vehicles, and support timely delivery of serviced units.

You should have 2+ years of automotive diagnostic/repair experience, ASE certification preferred, and a robust tool collection. Duties include accurate cost estimates, collaboration with dispatch, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Auto mechanic diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of automobile or automotive mechanical/electrical diagnosis, problem solving and repair experience.
• ASE certification is preferred or required.
• Must have a large selection of tools to do most jobs.
• Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems across a variety of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, analyze, and evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair or service needs and parts replacement.
• Identify opportunities to upsell to the customer; address DOT inspections where necessary.
• Maintain shop vehicles and assist other technicians on complex repairs.
• Accurately estimate costs for repairs, maintenance, and service.
• Perform brake, hydraulic, exhaust, engine/transmission, electrical, suspension, and air system repairs as required.
• Inspect and test all repairs to meet manufacturers’ specifications; road test when required.
• Maintain communication with dispatcher for appointment requests and schedule coordination.

Davey Coach Sales is the nation-wide leader in van and bus sales. We have an immediate opening for a MobileBus Technician in our ever growing office in Sedalia, CO. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing the mechanical and electrical damage of vehicles while ensuring safety and quality to ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles. Additional responsibilities include performing light-heavy maintenance and service work.

Your responsibilities would Include but are not limited to:

• Analyze, diagnose, and evaluate damaged vehicles to determine repair or service needs and potential replacement of parts.
• Identify any opportunity to upsell to the customer; addressing DOT inspections where necessary.
• Responsible for the maintenance of shop vehicles.
• Responsible for assisting other Technicians on the diagnosis of difficult or abnormal repairs or services.
• Accurately estimate costs for repairs, maintenance and service required.
• Perform advanced, basic and minor repairs as required – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, engine and transmission, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, restraints and airbags, wheelchair lifts, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Inspects and tests all mechanical repairs to meet manufacturers’ specifications. Road test vehicles when required.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure all requests for appointments are handled.
• Communicate with production team to keep all vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.

You will need to have:

• High School diploma/GED required. Auto mechanic vocational graduate preferred.
• 2+ years of automobile or automotive mechanical/electrical diagnosis, problem solving and repair experience in related industry preferred.
• ASE certification
• Must have a large selection of tools to do most jobs.
• Experience diagnosing problems – mechanical, repairing, rebuilding and overhauling mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or hydraulic systems in a wide variety of automotive vehicles.
• Knowledge using manufacturers’ service and repair manuals.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments.
