Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield seeks a Mobile Building Engineer to manage the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple commercial properties in the DMV area. The role includes rounds, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping to ensure safe, efficient building operations.

The technician will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with responsibilities spanning energy management, emergency response, and routine repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; apprentice or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as required; may include Journeyman/Master Electrician and other licenses.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems for assigned properties.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per standards and manufacturer guidance.
• Inspect and report on equipment conditions; respond to emergencies and customer concerns.
