Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum of 6 months customer service experience, including data entry and/or cash handling.
• Ability to travel between branches as needed.
• Proven verbal communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
• Well-organized and time-conscious; strong prioritization.
• Proficient with internet user-level technology.
• Bilingual based on branch needs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to established customer service standards and deliver a differentiated experience by understanding customer needs.
• Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations; identify self-service opportunities.
• Engage in lobby management: meet/greet customers and address immediate needs.
• Balance and process customer transactions accurately following Bank Policy.
• Own escalated account issues until resolution and log complaints in the system.
• Transition sales opportunities and introduce appropriate banking partners.
• Complete branch operations (cash ordering, vault, ATM, wires).
• Process customer/account maintenance accurately.
• Perform AML/KYC-related activities and ensure compliance with policies.
• Promote a belonging-focused environment and uphold M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal control standards and support audit/regulatory requirements.
