Job summary

OneBlood is seeking a phlebotomy technician to perform blood collection procedures from donors in compliance with FDA and AABB standards.

Responsibilities include obtaining medical history and vitals, maintaining professional donor interactions, and assisting with donor recruitment for apheresis and bone marrow programs. A high school diploma is required, with basic computer skills and strong communication abilities preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical history and vitals from donors and/or patients
• Performs phlebotomy and collection procedures to collect blood or blood components
• Displays excellent customer service and professionalism towards all customers
• Assists with the recruitment of potential apheresis, and bone marrow donors.
